High speed hydraulic coupling of the axial force

As a hydraulic transmission fluid coupling device has many advantages. Especially variable speed fluid couplings used in fans, pumps and other energy-saving effect is obvious on the device speed. When the fluid coupling work, will have a greater axial force, fatigue and accelerated bearing wear and shorten bearing life, thereby affecting the life of the machine. Fluid coupling impeller itself, there is no wear, its reliability and longevity is mainly determined by the bearings and seals. Therefore, the study axial force to improve the fluid coupling life and reliability is important. In this paper, the National High Technology Research and Development Program (863 Program) special issue "Large   Hydraulic hose fittings  pump and fan speed control key technology research" , using computational fluid dynamics numerical calculation method, the fluid coupling of the flow field and axial force calculation analysis to identify its variation, and the axial force were tested. Investigate the fluid coupling axial force influencing factors, and to analyze the axial force reduces fluid coupling measures.
